5 STARS from Sherri - March 2022 - Airbnb Guest: My girlfriends and I had such a relaxing get away at the beach lodge. The house is so clean and beautifully decorated we absolutely LOVED it!!! We thought Cherisse’s welcome guide with very specific recommendations of places to go and eat was really helpful. The location is perfect, it’s like a beachy neighborhood of NYC --- we walked everywhere which was fantastic with my dog! Highlands is such a cute town, it’s close to everything, we are all from NJ and never really knew of it, but we are already talking about our next trip back, and we will definitely be staying at Cherisse’s again!
5 STARS from Allison - April 2022 - Airbnb Guest: This property is top notch in comfort and cleanliness. Beds were very comfortable and both bathrooms are roomy, clean and convenient. The location can’t be beat-walking distance to nearly everything in Highlands and a short drive to check out other areas like Sandy Hook, Long Branch and Sea Bright. The outdoor equipment available for use was also top notch. We had one guest with us with mobility challenges, and this property was nearly perfect. The host was very accommodating to any questions or requests before and during our stay. We would definitely stay at this property again.
5 Stars from Marcie - May 2022 VRBO Guest: Perfect for our annual Girl's weekend....The home was immaculate. The style and decor was perfect down to the tiniest detail. Lots of wide open places to gather and catch up with friends both inside and outside. The dining room table was suitable for our big family style meals, and kitchen provided us with everything we needed to prepare them. It was absolutely perfect and in close proximity to restaurants and bars. Cherisse guided us to the best places to visit despite our less than stellar weather. I don't usually visit the same place twice, but this time I may have to book again. The home, the trip, and the hostess were all 5 stars.

Adorable home with awesome decor and furnishings! Close to beautiful Sea Bright beach as well as the ferry to/from NYC which our son enjoyed! Great memories with the fam were made!

My family enjoyed the spacious and well-designed house, the plentiful outdoor seating in the back, and we walked around town to dinner, ice cream, and more. Cherisse was incredibly responsive and helpful throughout the process. The little touches in the house made the experience incredibly memorable and enjoyable.

There's a lot to do in the Highlands area - beach, hiking, shopping, restaurants/bars. Charisse provides a great experience with all the little details especially her suggestions on places to go and things to do if you are not familiar with the area. We will definitely be back.

The location to many highlights of the Shore was perfect. Our group felt right at home. The finishes and details like bath products, useful house guide, and smart TVs made our stay feel luxurious. Cherisse was responsive, thoughtful and a pleasure to communicate with. We hope to be back many times.

The driveway was long enough to park boat trailer and truck as well as another vehicle. The house has everything and is really cool. The town is great and the Proving Grounds is a nice place to grab dinner and drinks with live music.
5 Star Review from Cassie, June 2023 Airbnb Guest: Cherisse and Scott have a wonderful beach house and are some of the best Airbnb hosts! Their house is gorgeous (super well decorated) and spotless! The towels were very plush and there’s great water pressure. We loved the record player, and it was great having bikes available. There’s a bunch of restaurants within walking distance. We went to Sandy hook so it was great having the beach pass. There were instructions for everything and Cherisse was helpful and responsive every time I reached out. Would definitely come back!

5 Stars from Becky March 2024 Airbnb Guest: We were looking an alternative location to visit NYC, and stumbled across this amazing house located in the Highlands of NJ. We were a short trip to two separate sea streak ferry ports, Sandy Hook, and charming restaurants. We got our Italian and bagel fix- while taking a ferry ride into NyC for two days. The house itself is so comfortable, with tons of small details that made our stay amazing. We will be back!
5 Stars from Ann, June 2024 VRBO Guest: 5 Star Everything you can want in a rental and more. The house is so comfortable and the extras are perfect (bikes, toys, Sandy Hook pass). We were here for a wedding so we did not use the kitchen much but it was well equipped. The Highlands neighborhood was fun to explore. Start the day with coffee at the Farmacie and take it from there. All in all a great Jersey shore vibe. Thanks to the hosts. If we ever come back to the area: this would be our top choice of place to stay.

We appreciated the peaceful and unpretentious surroundings; it felt like the way things used to be. Friendly folks, neighborhood coffee shop, a tiny bay beach just a couple blocks down, and the wild and wonderful Sandy Hook seashore a five minute car-ride away. We were happy to explore the nearby Henry Hudson Trail, running parallel to the serene bay waters, on the bikes provided by Cherisse and Scott. Cherisse was a superb host— available, easygoing, friendly, and anticipating all our needs. All in all it was one of our best Airbnb experiences ever.
5 Stars from Ileana Sept 2024 Airbnb Guest: This home is perfect for a vacation with family or in my case for me and my bridal party to stay in and get ready in on the morning of my wedding. Plenty of space to eat as a group and to get hair and makeup done with ample lighting and outlets. The house is so beautiful and the outdoor space is truly magical, I saw a hummingbird while drinking my morning cup of coffee. Great location for going out for a good meal and drinks. I will definitely be back!
